Research practice

We are an active research practice dedicated to clinical studies

Our research team is led by Prof. Chauhan and our research GP Dr Thakur who are supported by our Research Healthcare Professional Amina Khatun.

We have participated in several high quality studies and are leading on designing new models of delivering research in the community in partnership with other local practices and the Clinical Research Network.

Studies vary tremendously from short term projects to longer term research following patients with various conditions but all aim to help with the development of treatment

A range of research studies we have been looking at include:

  • Promoting a healthier lifestyle
  • Disease diagnosis and prevention
  • Management of long-term illnesses such as diabetes or hypertension
  • Prevention of future ill-health
  • Treating common conditions such as tonsillitis or influenza

Our current research includes:

  • Research into Mental Health Promotion and Prevention Support, we are currently recruiting patients for this study.

For more information please download this leaflet.

If you would like to take part or would like more information regarding any of the studies please contact us on

We complete all clinical trials under protocols set by the sponsor or academics and are overseen by independent ethics committee

Medical research helps to improve the health and wellbeing of the nation
